Information
Banket is a refined Deco-style display typeface inspired by the elegant lettering featured in a 1936 Dutch advertisement for the confectionery firm G. Daneels. The ad, designed by Gerard Hurkman, showcases a graceful and geometric typographic style typical of the period—marked by clean lines, geometric forms, and a sophisticated sense of spacing.
Revived and expanded by Ramiro Espinoza, Banket captures the charm of that original design while transforming it into a complete digital typeface for contemporary use. Its sleek letterforms and balanced proportions make it ideal for brochures, editorial design, websites, posters, packaging, and visual identities where a touch of 1930s glamour and style is desired.
