Kraai

Kraai is a modular display typeface designed by Ramiro Espinoza and inspired by the carved lettering on the Oetewalerbrug, a bridge located in Amsterdam’s Watergraafsmeer district. The original letterforms, created in the expressive spirit of the Amsterdam School, possess a handcrafted energy that Espinoza has reimagined in a digital form. The result is a typeface that retains the strength and personality of the original carvings while enhancing consistency and expanding the character set for contemporary design needs.
