Kristiana
The Kristiana typeface is inspired by the lettering that identifies the Pro Regeschool entrance, located at Floris Versterstraat 11, 1058 JL, Amsterdam. This building, constructed in 1931 in a style reminiscent of the Amsterdam School, was designed by architect G.A. Roobol.
In early 2025, Ramiro Espinoza took numerous photographs of the lettering to later digitize and refine it—eliminating inconsistencies and expanding the character set to create a display font with a strong expressive personality and Art Deco influences.
Kristiana performs exceptionally well at large sizes and in design pieces that demand attention, such as posters, billboards, film titles, and announcements. Designers working on identities, logos, or labels with a bold personality and retro feel will find Kristiana a capable and compelling choice.
