Wallraff

Wallraff is a modular stencil typeface designed by Ramiro Espinoza and inspired by the lettering on a German airline advertisement from the 1930s. The original design, by an unknown hand, reflected the fascination with technology and progress that defined the interwar years. Its stencil and geometric letterforms suggested both utility and a bold modern spirit. Espinoza adapted these features into a functional digital typeface, refining proportions and expanding the character set while keeping the directness of the source. Wallraff’s modular structure and clean cuts give it a distinctive look well suited for posters, signage, websites, brochures, exhibitions, and editorial projects.
